Must be employed or appointed as a law enforcement officer by a State or local law enforcement agency, or be a federal law enforcement officer. Fees may apply for federal and out-of-state law enforcement.

FIAT is a five-day, 40 hour course for law enforcement professionals. The course aims to provide a foundation of basic knowledge and understanding of intelligence analysis. The course is designed to be entry-level curriculum and meets the educational requirements for the IALEIA Criminal Intelligence Certified Analyst (CICA) certification process.
