Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)
Description
Must be employed or appointed as a law enforcement officer by a State or local law enforcement agency or be a federal law enforcement officer. Fees may apply for federal and out of state law enforcement.

CIT is a certified best practice to teach first responders that there can be many causes of a subject not responding as directed when first encountered. Trainings teach officers to deescalate the situation, and to take their time, all while keeping themselves and the subject safe.
