Geriatric Emergencies – EMS 4202-01P
Description
This 3-hour online continuing education course focuses on the unique challenges and considerations involved in assessing and managing geriatric emergencies in the prehospital environment. EMS providers will explore age-related physiological changes, high-risk medical conditions, communication strategies, and common barriers to care that impact older adult patients.
The course is delivered in a fully online, self-paced format, allowing participants to register at any time during the month of January and complete the material on their schedule.
Upon successful completion, students will earn 3 hours of NCOEMS-approved EMS Continuing Education credit, which will be reflected on the student’s CE transcript.
