Pharmacology & Johnston County EMS Protocol Updates (3 Hours CE Credit) – EMS 4202-13P
Description
This 3-hour online continuing education course focuses on EMS pharmacology review and Johnston County EMS protocol updates, providing providers with current, practical information to support safe and effective patient care. Course content includes a review of commonly used emergency medications, medication indications and contraindications, dosing considerations, and recent changes to local treatment protocols.
The course is delivered in a fully online, self-paced format, allowing participants to register at any time during the month of February and complete the material on their own schedule until February 27th, 2026. Upon successful completion, students will receive 3 hours of NCOEMS- approved EMS Continuing Education credit.
Topics include:
- Review of commonly administered EMS medications
- Pharmacologic principles and medication safety considerations
- Updates to Johnston County EMS protocols
- Practical application of protocol changes in the field
This course is intended for EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics seeking to remain current with medication knowledge and local practice standards.
